Fractured Frontier examines collapse and consumption as conditions that sustain dominant narratives of the American Dream and the American West. Operating within a chaotic in-between, the work traces moments where systems erode and reorder, and reality begins to distort. This body of work responds to contemporary political calls to “return to a gilded age”—and asks, for whom? In a central video, a 42-ounce tomahawk steak is consumed in a single unedited shot—no pause, no water—alongside the relentless rhythm of an oil pump and sewing machine needle, echoing systems of extraction and mass production.
